Kennie began his legal practice in one of the top law firms in Malaysia. In 2015, he co-founded Messrs Ivan & Ang. Messrs Ivan & Ang would later be known as Messrs Ivan Ang Lau & Xuen and now, Messrs Ang & Lau. He has been at the helm of our litigation department since the firm’s inception.

 

Kennie’s key areas of practice include corporate and commercial litigation, property disputes, construction disputes and corporate insolvency. He often acts for directors and shareholders of both private and public listed companies, developers and small and medium-sized enterprises.

 

He recently acts for the judicial manager in a judicial management of company involved in oil and gas industry. He is currently involved in a multi-million construction dispute in arbitration, representing the main contractor.

 

Kennie advises and acts on injunctions, pre-action discovery, enforcement and execution proceedings and settlement negotiations. He also acts for parties from both sides of contractual disputes, debt recovery and landlord and tenancy.
